On Sunday June 29th at 0944 hrs Stations 5,4,6, Caroline Station 700 and Kent Station 6 were alerted for a Commercial Structure fire at 119 Rabbit Hill Rd at the Price Community Center. Initial reports were that a Sheriff Deputy was on location with smoke and fire evident from Side A. E55 arrived with fire showing from the first floor on side A and smoke coming from the attic. E55 stretched a line to the first floor and knocked the fire. Crews began to search for access tot the attic. After locating it, crews found fire in the attic and began to extinguish. While E55 and E41 worked to extinguish the fire, Tower Ladder 5 vented the roof and started opening windows. Tower 4 arrived and established RIT on Side A. The crew of Tower 4 took over the Attic division to extinguish hot spots and maintain for the FM. Once the Fire was determined out, the crews from Station 4 returned to service and Station 5 units remained on scene. Officer 501(Williams) had command
On Wednesday June 25th at 2356 hrs while Centreville was being hit by strong storms, Box 4-1 was sounded for a dwelling fire at 100 Watson Rd. A4 arrived at the corrected address of 110 Watson Rd with nothing evident and began investigating. After investigation, A4 found fire on the rear of the structure involving the area around line from the propane tank to the dwelling with some extension into the dwelling. E44 arrived and stretched a line to he rear and knocked the fire and began checking for more extension in the basement as well as the kitchen area. Tower 4 assisted with smoke removal and checking the upper floors along with E55 and Tower Ladder 5. Crews were on scene for apporx. an hour.
On Wednesday June 18th, 2014, Stations 4, 3, 5, and 2 were alerted for a dwelling fire in the 4-1 box at 212 Fredrick Dr. PM 4 arrived on scene to find a 2 Story SFD with light smoke showing. After investigations, a working fire in the kitchen was found. E44 arrived and pulled the 200′ crosslay to the front door and made an aggressive attack to knock the fire and contain it to the kitchen with minor extension to the ceiling area. Tower 4 arrived shortly after and threw ground ladders and ventilated in coordination with the engine crew. Once the fire was extinguished the situation was placed under control and overhaul was started. Command held units to await the arrival of the investigator. Officer 401 (Palmatary) was Fredrick Dr Command.
On Tuesday, June 3rd at 1242 hrs, Station 4 was alerted for an MVC w/ Injuries on Rt 304 in he area of the TTT Truck Stop. Rescue 4 responded and found one car off the roadway with the patient out of the vehicle. The EMS units on scene requested aviation for the single patient. The LZ was set up by E52 at RT 405 and 304. Once the Trooper was en route to Shock Trauma, Command placed the situation under control and all units went in service.
