Tuesday, March 4, 2014 At 0346 hrs on March the 4th 2013, while en route to the station for and MVC in station 5’s area, Stations 4, 5, 3, and KM6 were alerted for a structure fire at 140 Shady Lane Farm in the 4-11 Box. Since volunteers were already at the station and in apparatus, a quick response was made, however the response to the scene was delayed due to the slippery road conditions. ET4 with 6 members arrived on scene to find a barn fully involved with officer 406(Davis) establishing command. LDH was dropped at the end of the driveway which was picked up by E41 until the next tanker arrived. ET4 along with Br5, E52 and Quint 6 made a knock on the fire and the extensive overhaul began. Units operated for aprox. 2.5 hrs and assisted the Fire Marshall with his investigation and cleared the scene.
